40th Anniversary of Coast Guard Rugby
August 25 -27, 2023 Glendale, Colorado
To be held in conjunction with the Armed Forces Men’s Rugby Championships and Glendale 7’s. Events will include Friday cocktail hour, Saturday dinner, and watching the Coast Guard men’s team compete. We will celebrate both the men’s and women’s teams.

To honor the 80th anniversary of the CG SPARs the Coast Guard Rugby Foundation, in conjunction with the Coast Guard Service Rugby Teams, designed a team jersey for their participation in the New York Rugby Sevens tournament.

In coordination with the HQ Women’s Leadership Initiative, CG Rugby & CG Rugby Foundation presented the Commandant with a commemorative SPARS jersey during the Women’s History Month event hosted by Personnel Services Command Leadership Diversity Advisory Council. The jersey honors the Women’s Reserve, known as the SPARS, during WWII and features the number 27, representing the 27th Commandant, ADM Linda Fagan.
